Not Around

Listen to what I say
keep it in mind
dear son of mine
Remember when you wake
the advice I gave
I hope it keeps you safe

When I am not around

Look at how far we’ve come
forwards and back
backwards and forth
My arrow is pointed straight
Just like you taught
but what will I do

When you’re not around
